Crime Watch: Assault Arrests and Property Damage

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On April 13 at 11:45 p.m., Tyrone Phifer, 29, of Freeport, was arrested at 34 Maple Ave. in Rockville Centre for second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon following a police investigation at an Old Mill Court, Rockville Centre apartment.

On April 15 at about 11:30 p.m., Gary R. Heckman, 28, of Holbrook, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, appearance in public under the influence of narcotics and resisting arrest following a disturbance in the rear of 49 N. Village Ave.

Property Damage:

On April 9 at 11:45 a.m., a complainant from Northport, Mass. reported that a tree fell on her 2012 Toyota while it was parked on Oxford Place in Rockville Centre.

On April 9 at 12:17 p.m., a complainant from Nottingham Road in Rockville Centre reported that the windshield to his 2002 Buick was damaged by unknown means while it was parked in the driveway between April 8 at 3 p.m. and April 9 at 9:30 a.m.

On April 11 at 11 a.m., a complainant from Guilford Park Drive in Seaford reported that the windshield to his 2009 Jeep was damaged by a rock thrown from a NC Public Works weed trimmer while in the vicinity of Peninsula Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On April 12 at 10:30 p.m., a complainant from Chambers Court in Clifton, NJ reported that sometime between 5:45 p.m. and 10 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged the rear passenger door and quarter panel of her 2012 Kia while it was parked at Molloy College, located at 1000 Hempstead Ave. in Rockville Centre.
