Crime Watch: Arrests for DWI and Larceny; Break-in at Parrots

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • John D. Green, 23, of Hempstead, was arrested on Nov. 13 at 5:33 a.m. and charged with petit larceny following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Windham Road.

  • Malik G. Michel, 23, of Hempstead Avenue, was arrested on Nov. 15 at 12:58 a.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, unlawful possession of marijuana and a VTL violation following an auto accident investigation at Hempstead Avenue and Clinton Avenue.

  • Barbara G. Nictas, 24, of Merrick, was arrested on Nov. 17 at 2:12 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated following an auto accident investigation by police personnel on Arlington Avenue.

  • Eric S. Kaye, 28, of Valley Stream, was arrested on Nov. 15 at 11:39 a.m. and charged with petit larceny following an investigation by police personnel at Home Goods, located at 150 North Village Ave.

  • Jacoby A. Thomas, 34, of Long Beach, was arrested on Nov. 16 at 4:06 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following an investigation by police personnel on South Park Avenue.

  • Rafael A. Gonzalez, 22, of Miramar, Fla., was arrested on Nov. 16 at 4:54 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and VTL violations following an investigation by police personnel on Maple Avenue.

  • Frank A. Spadaro, 30, of Lynbrook, was arrested on Nov. 18 at 11:34 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree following an investigation by police personnel in front of 34 Maple Ave.

  • Burglary

    • The owner of Parrots of the World, located at 316 Sunrise Highway, reported to police on Nov. 14 that sometime since 8 p.m., an unknown person(s) damaged a front glass door valued at $600 and a cash register without permission. There was no loss reported.

    Unauthorized Use

    • A complainant from Old Mill Court reported to police on Nov. 13 at 3:54 p.m. that her rental vehicle was in possession of an unauthorized person.

    Unusual Incident

    • A complainant from Brower Avenue reported to police on Nov. 12 at 4:40 p.m. that an unknown person(s) made an unauthorized charge of $220.82 against her Kohl’s credit card.

    • A complainant from South Lewis Place reported to police on Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. that he was advised by Merrill Lynch that an unknown person(s) opened accounts using his personal information and made $18,800 in credit card charges without authorization.

    Graffiti

    • Police personnel on Nov. 12 at 10:29 a.m. located graffiti on a sign located opposite 700 Sunrise Highway.

    • The owner of Dario’s Restaurant, located at 13 North Village Ave., reported to police on Nov. 18 that sometime between Nov. 16 and Nov. 18, an unknown person(s) placed graffiti on a glass front door.
