Crime Watch: Arrest Made in Radio Shack Burglary

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

On July 24 at 7:54 p.m., Vicente S. Cruz-Ramirez, 49, of Hempstead, was arrested at his residence and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury after fleeing from an accident that occurred on Peninsula Boulevard at 6:35 p.m.

On July 25 at 2:55 a.m., Gary T. Pearse, 57, of Roosevelt, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (2 counts) and operating without headlights while driving on Merrick Road. The defendant also had an open bench warrant for petit larceny.

On July 25 at 5:47 p.m., Jason Behar, 21, of Rockville Centre, was arrested at the RVC LIRR station and charged with third-degree criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing following the investigation of an incident that occurred on Banks Avenue.

On July 27 at 3:10 a.m., Jamol Brooks, 35, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, operating with a suspended registration, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating without insurance, operating an un-inspected vehicle and for having improper registration plates following an investigation in Municipal Parking Field No. 1.

On July 27 at 9:02 p.m., Ronald J. Nazaire, 41, of  Baldwin, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding while driving on Lincoln Avenue near Rockaway Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On July 29 at 4:08 p.m., Jason S. Wells, 27, of Huntington Station, was arrested and charged with petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree assault, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana following a larceny investigation at Radio Shack, located at 264 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
