Crime Watch: $14K Ring Stolen From Hempstead Ave. Home

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On Aug. 21 at 12:45 a.m., Enrique A. Fragoso, 26, of Jamaica, NY, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 21 at 11:34 p.m., Catherine A. Young, 23, of Island Park, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 22 at 3 p.m. Anthony J. Martin, 23, of Jamaica, NY, was arrested for criminal possession of a forged instrument and attempted petit larceny following an investigation by police personnel at Chase Bank, located at 10 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Burglary:

On Aug. 26 at 12:40 p.m., a complainant from Hempstead Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. and Aug. 26 11 a.m., unknown person(s) stole assorted jewelry including an engagement ring valued at $14,000 from a bedroom at her residence.
