Crime Report: Man Hit with Beer Bottle in Front of Bar

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • Thomas Safonte, 45, of Seaford, was arrested on Aug. 28 at 9:54 p.m. and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief following a police investigation at Ayhan’s Shish Kabob, located at 201 Sunrise Highway.

  • Farzana L. DeSouza, 22, of South Hempstead, was arrested on Aug. 31 at 5:48 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and VTL violation following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and Yorktown Street.

  • Alan J. Prelesnick, 57, of Rockville Centre, was arrested on Aug. 31 at 6:45 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of South Forest Avenue.

  • Mark Hercules, 50, of New York, was arrested on Sept. 1 at 12:15 a.m. and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest following an investigation by police personnel on North Village Avenue.

  • Daniel J. Kenny, 22, of Williston Park, was arrested on Sept. 01 at 3:15 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following an investigation by police personnel on Princeton Road.

  • Assault

    • A complainant from Bethpage reported to police on Sept. 1 at 2:14 a.m. that he was assaulted by an unknown person(s) while in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field #1.

  • A complainant from Oceanside reported to police on Sept. 2 at 3:06 a.m. that he was assaulted with a beer glass by a known male from Rockville Centre while in front of Stingers, located at 300 Sunrise Highway.
