Levittown Man Charged With Manslaughter in Crash…

Court Dates Continue for Roxen Road Defendants

Multiple court dates on horizon for five defendants.

Multiple court dates have been scheduled for the five defendants in the Roxen Road assault case, starting this week.

Matthew Diperna, Kevin Coyle, William Nelson and Nolan Kelly will all head back to Nassau County First District Thursday.

The defendants were all charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury, a misdemeanor, and assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a felony.

William Moore, who was charged with a second count of assault with intent to cause physical injury, has a Feb. 4 date in court.

The new court dates come after all five defendants appeared in court Friday. The defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to police, the assault happened when the wife of the victim was walking her dog on Nottingham Road and was verbally accosted by five to eight young men. She ran home and told her husband of the incident, and the two drove around the neighborhood looking for the men to demand an apology.

They found the group on Roxen Road, which is where the assault took place, police said. Neighbors who heard the disturbance called police at 11:55 p.m. The men fled before police arrived and Nassau County detectives were called in to join the investigation.

The man was transported by Rockville Centre police to Mercy Medical Center where he was treated for broken ribs, multiple contusions and injuries to the face and jaw.

if the victim was a gun owner this wouldn't have happened.

Good! I am so happy to see their mug shots posted everywhere on this site. These kids and a hell of a lot of other RVC residents think they are better than everyone else and have no care or concern for anyone but themselves. Posting about this article repeatedly is a great way to spread the message that that attitude doesn't get you anywhere good. Maybe the future of Rockville Centre teens will change? These five kids deserve to lose whatever college scholarships they received and continued to be publicly humiliated.

Why don't we just appoint all you superior intellects to the town board, send the accused teenagers off to sing sing without a trial, spare the"victim" the horror of cross examination, and give him a medal for playing vigilante instead of simply calling the police after he had hunted them down at 11:55 PM ?

Victim is still undergoing medical tests and procedures from various specialists and has a hard time concentrating on work and family due to his head injuries.Still a fantastic guy but may never be the same as he was. Be happy this isn't you. Even the clowns on here who defend these cowards.
