Police arrested a man and a teenager on Tuesday after they allegedly attempted to rob a woman who was sitting in her car in a Baldwin parking lot.
At about 5:30 p.m., the 31-year-old female victim was in her car outside 2277 Grand Ave. when she saw in her rearview mirror two masked men approach her, police said. She put the car in reverse and began to back up. The victim then screamed out, causing the subjects to remove their masks and flee the scene.
Police then located a 16-year-old Baldwin boy at 6:15pm in the bushes on Florence Street. Allen Sanders, 20, of Freeport, was found in a rear yard on New York Avenue at 7:40 p.m. Both defendants were taken into custody without incident. They are each charged with second-degree attempted robbery.
No injuries were reported.
