Cops Searching for Capital One Bank Robber

Police seeking subject who reportedly robbed a Capital One Bank Friday afternoon.

Nassau Detectives are searching for a man who reportedly robbed a Valley Stream bank Friday afternoon.

According to police, a man presented a robbery demand note to a teller at Capital One Bank, located at 356 North Central Avenue in Valley Stream. The teller complied and gave the subject an undetermined amount of cash, cops said. The subject fled north on foot on North Central Avenue and then east on Milford Street, police said.

The robbery happened at 1:05 p.m. Friday, police reported.

Eight employees and one customer were in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was reportedly injured.

The subject is described as a black male in his 30s, six feet tall, with scruffy facial hair, and was wearing a light colored pea coat and dark hooded shirt.
