Cops: RVC Man Stole Cash from Yogurt Bar

Robert Cosme was fired from his shift manager job three weeks prior to the break-in, police said.

A Rockville Centre man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly broke into Pinkberry Yogurt Bar in Great Neck and stole money from the safe on June 13, cops said.

According to police, Robert Cosme, 22, broke in at 1:09 a.m. using the key he had when he was an employee there as shift manager. He had been fired three weeks earlier, authorities said.

He then opened the safe, cops said, and stole an unspecified amount of cash before fleeing the scene. He turned himself in at the Third Precinct on Thursday at 12:40 p.m.

Cosme has been charged with third-degree burglary, and he will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
