A Rockville Centre man faces grand larceny charges after he paid back $110,000 that he owed with a bad check, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said Marc Levine, 42, of Rockville Centre, entered into a written agreement with an unidentified 50-year-old man in November 2009. Levine borrowed a sum of money and agreed to pay it back a year later, cops said.
Levine reportedly made no attempt to pay back the money until June 2013 when he wrote a check worth $110,000, police reported. The check was made with insufficient funds, cops reported.
The Crimes Against Property Squad investigated and arrested Levine at his home without incident.
Levine is charged with two counts of second-degree grand larceny and issuing a bad check. He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
