Cops Probing South Shore Car Explosions

Two explosions reported in cars in Island Park and Oceanside.

Arson and bomb squad detectives are searching for answers in two car explosions in Island Park and Oceanside, reported Nassau County Police.

The two explosions were reported in cars just days apart, with the first happening at 9:30 a.m. Saturday on Moore Avenue in Oceanside and a second on Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue in Island Park.

Both cars "sustained moderate damage consistent with an explosion," police reported.

No civilians were injured in the explosions and emergency crews safely responded without being injured, cops said.

Investigators are looking into a possible connection between the two incidents and are asking for the public's help in explaining the explosions.

Anyone with information about either explosion is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

At least the LBPD isn't in charge of the investigation.

The problem with the murders is the SCPD actually has to respond to the 911 call for help in order to initiate the investigation.

They did respond, however I adequately, but wat do u expect from overpaid, undertrained civil servants who took one test to gain a lifetime of benefits, they take the test and skate, eat donuts, and await retirement so they can smoke a joint
