An Oceanside man was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly tried to burn down a bar with people still inside, police said.
Alec Sapounas, 60, is charged with second-degree attempted arson and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Police said that on Tuesday at 8 p.m., Sapounas allegedly threw an accelerant from a container towards the rear of Phat Daddy’s Bar, located at 3116 South Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside.
