Cops: Man Found With Stolen Credit Cards, Mail, Pier One Merch

Police are looking for potential victims after a Freeport man was arrested in Baldwin with stolen credit cards, mail, and Pier One merchandise.

Officers responded to calls that a suspicious man was looking into cars in the Grand Terrace and Woodside Avenue neighborhood.

Thomas Pearl, 48, of Freeport, fled from police after they located him on Clyde Road, officers said. First Precinct and canine officers found Pearl in the backyard of a Circle Drive West home, cops said. Pearl was found with five stolen credit cards and was arrested at the scene, police reported.

Pearl was also found with several items from Pier One and multiple pieces of mail, detectives revealed.

Pearl was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree criminal trespassing. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
