Will, your right on the munny...But if they are uinderage SSHS grads, he should be FIRED ASAP...

The current 11th graders attend catholic high schools. I'm not 100% sure which ones. I heard Kellenberg and Chaminade.
Karin Johanna December 12, 2013 at 08:49 AM
I have a few friends who have 11th graders and all the kids in the grade know who these kids are and heard about them getting in trouble at a house party for drinking by the police. Most didn't hear about the disrespect, refusal to leave, and the beating of someone's dad. If you have a kid in HS talk to them and let them know the rest of the story. If nothing else make sure they're not welcome at the next house party by their own peers.
Will Munny December 12, 2013 at 09:01 AM
@Fedup,I agree! If the SSHS grads are still under 21 then the coach should be fired immediately if he drinks with them.@Karin,thanks for the 411.
Karin Johanna December 12, 2013 at 09:05 AM
Of course I'm making the assumption that most if not all teenagers will continue to drink and unfortunately nothing much will change. Parents will look the other way and continue to believe it's a right of passage. And stupidly believe that they are safer drinking in someone's house than walking around town. Hmmm define safer please.

79 comments and still nothing.

Well at least we learned whats going on in our community through these posts even if the local publications are more concerned with pleasing their masters (village and school) than informing the public. Very interesting about the coach as well. What ever happened to the concept of role models?
ahf December 12, 2013 at 12:51 PM
Nigel.....did you expect anything different ? Between our local myopic press & biased local government it all remains the status quo.
Nigel December 12, 2013 at 01:22 PM
@penman some parents and coaches subscribe to the idea that you have to be friends with your kids and players. This has blurred the line of respect leading to a breakdown of societal mores. It also doesn't help that the role models we see in the media are all drunks, drug addicts, or using performance enhancing drugs to get an "edge." From Lance Armstrong, Andy Petit, A-roid, to the sweet kids on the Disney channel who's lives are just so f-d up that they each end up in rehab. It's that as well as the overall loosening of morality, the fear of offending someone when they do something out of line, and the inability to effectively levy a punishment that fits a crime. When criminals have more rights than society, we have lost everything.
Nigel December 12, 2013 at 02:20 PM
In essence, this crime is a crime against us all. Its effects are not on just one man and his family. Its effects are on us all as we now must live with the fact that a crime can be committed without fear of retribution from both society and our criminal justice system. That once an event passes life will continue as it always has and the victim will just need to find a way to cope with the fact that the Village has let him down. We will need to cope with the fact that teens can do as they please, and their parents will vigorously defend them rather than provide a defense for them. My hope is that the victim and the victim of the Roxen Road incident pursue these criminals on behalf of us all. We must make a concerted effort to vocalize our collective dismay with the current methods of prosecution and disregard for the safety of all law abiding residents of Rockville Centre. We must support the victim as he is us and one day we may find that our neighbor, a friend or even ourselves, in doing what is considered right and just in a similar situation. We cannot let the victims down in these cases. We must band together to support them and tell our elected officials that this must stop.

Nigel...That's called LIBERALISM
penman December 12, 2013 at 02:36 PM
It seems that in today's crime watch the 16 year old girl from Jackson Avenue was issued an appearance ticket. Wow!!! What happened to the assailants? The police let them walk away?
FedUpRealist December 12, 2013 at 03:36 PM
Mr. Patch, why didn't you get more info about the Jackson Avenue assault???...Is there a cover-up???...Or, more likely, who told you to quash the story????
Will Munny December 12, 2013 at 03:39 PM
Nigel,I will ask you for a third time. Why are you so sure that the version of the story you heard is 100% accurate? To be clear,I am not saying you are wrong. I am merely saying that this is an ongoing investigation and I have heard different accounts of the events that took place. It seems to me that unless you were there or are a police officer working the case you don't really know either. Convince me. Why should I believe you?
Will Munny December 12, 2013 at 03:46 PM
Penman, actually all we have learned is that emotions are still raw from the Roxen Rd incident so people will jump all over a rumor. All we have is what appears to be a crusade by Nigel but we really don't have any facts yet. I'm really disappointed in many of my fellow RVC residents. If there turns out to be more to this story then 'Nigel' says then you should all feel very ashamed. If not, then good for you....you guessed right.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. We're working on getting up-to-date facts from Nassau and Rockville Centre PDs in the incidents you mentioned. We'll update as soon as we find anything out.
Will Munny December 12, 2013 at 04:13 PM
Please!! The sooner the better!! I am so tired of the rumors and rantings from wannabe vigilantes! I just want the whole story.
FedUpRealist December 12, 2013 at 06:15 PM
Hey Will, let's say they in fact are charged...How would you react?...And let's say they are charged but just like the Roxen PUNKS, the charges are reduced or dismissed, what would you do???...Going one step further, what if the victim was YOUR loved one and the PUNKS were set free...What would you do???
Will Munny December 12, 2013 at 07:19 PM
If they are charged I will follow the case. IF the facts of the case are essentially identical to the Roxen case and the outcome is the same then I will be disappointed. What I WILL NOT do is come on a web site and spew threats like some half ass phony tough guy.
FedUpRealist December 12, 2013 at 08:33 PM
Whose the half-ass tough guy calling someone else a half-ass tough guy while HIDING behind a keystroke??? By the way, I haven't threatened anyone...I just know people who will be administering justice to a bunch of PUNKS...I DO admit that I'm all for it...
That RVC guy December 12, 2013 at 09:50 PM
Realist, you sound like a buffoon, and obviously have no grasp of the seriousness of your remarks. You've posted enough already to warrant subpoena's being issued for your IP...and a visit by the local Detectives should someone "get visited" by your pals. Local Law enforcement would be seriously remiss if they didnt take your bloviating seriously if there is violence resulting from this incident, whatever happened. Nice job, get an atty! lol Hope you are satisfied.
Will Munny December 13, 2013 at 06:20 AM
Fedup, that was a pathetic attempt to deflect. You sir,are the one who has not only advocated vigilante justice by your "NV boys" but you have also made threats yourself...go back and read your own posts dude. I'm not the one acting like a tough guy here. I merely stated the obvious.
FedUpRealist December 13, 2013 at 12:43 PM
RVC & Will...I DO advocate vigilante justice because the LIBERAL justice system has FAILED (just ask Mr. Roxen)...I advocate it but don't administer it...I'll leave that to 'others'...As such, I will laugh with satisfaction when ANY PUNK gets their do...And RVC, your lack of knowledge of the law is not surprising...You should be disbarred, demoted from detective or from know-it-all to know it less...I'd love to see you guys have this much contempt for the perps and not for some FedUp blogger..
Will Munny December 14, 2013 at 01:06 PM
Yeah well, you were singing a different tune earlier in this thread. You have said repeatedly that "punks" will get real justice if they meet a guy like you. Remember saying that big boy? You are wise to back track....you never know who might read your rants😉
That RVC guy December 15, 2013 at 03:34 PM
Realist, first of all I am not an atty. or a Detective; Secondly, I am to the right of Attila the Hun. My aim here was merely to keep a raging cane-shaker from implicating himself in a crime because he is apparently laboring under the misapprehension he is posting anonymously. Knock yourself out, tough-guy! I would love to see swift and severe justice be meted out to any of the privileged punks in this town.... AND THEIR PARENTS. The under-riding theme in all these incidents, including the house party beat-down... is the lack of parental responsibility and accountability, in my opinion.
FedUpRealist December 16, 2013 at 11:17 AM
Thanks for your concern RVC...But I chose my words very carefully...And to WILLIE, I stand by what I said...I DID not back down...If any PUNK 'tries' anything with me or hurts a loved one, I will exact justice...Sorry you felt threatened Will...
Will Munny December 17, 2013 at 08:00 AM
Haha,I like how you carefully amended what you actually said. It's ok,I think it's wise to back away from your more incriminating comments. Oh and don't worry sparky,I never felt threatened by you. I'm not a "punk" so I have nothing to fear from wannabe vigilantes.
FedUpRealist December 17, 2013 at 11:48 AM
I still haven't backed down from anything...What is it I said that your so concerned with???...
Tiredofgossips January 31, 2014 at 06:22 PM
who do you think you are making all these accusations about the night on Jackson Avenue as if you were there?
