Community National Bank Robbed

Woman in wig demands money in note to teller; flees in an unknown direction.

The Community National Bank on Merrick Road in Rockville Centre was robbed on Friday morning and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police officials said. 

According to Nassau County Robbery Squad detectives, a black woman in her late 20s to early 30s entered the bank at 333 Merrick Rd at 11:17 a.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount cash. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The bank was empty except for four employees, but no injuries were reported. 

The woman was described as 5'7'', 135 pounds with a dark complexion and slim build. She was wearing a dark-brown shoulder length wig, large dark sunglasses, black t-shirt, blue jeans and was carrying a denim jacket.
