Bloods Gang Member Arrested for August Old Mill Court Shooting

Several shots were fired by the defendant from Rockville Centre, police said.

A Rockville Centre man and known Bloods gang member was arrested Monday in relation to a shooting that occurred on Aug. 7 near Old Mill Court.

According to Rockville Centre Police, Michael Harris, 23, has been charged with assault in the second degree, criminal use of a firearm in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. Harris was arraigned on Oct. 9 at First District Court regarding the charges.

Police say that around 2:15 p.m. on Aug. 7, Harris shot a 22-year-old man on the west side of North Centre Avenue midway between Old Mill Court and Maine Avenue. The defendant resides close to Old Mill Court, according to police.

Harris, a member of the Bloods, fired several shots at the unnamed victim for "unknown reasons," police said. However, at the time of the shooting, Village Administrator Keith Spadaro said that the shooting appeared to be "not random in nature."

I agree A F but he attacked my politics questioned my race and told me to leave the country I was born in. That's going to far. @RVC Guy, this is RVC yes there are drug addicts and a small handful of dealers. It's not New Jack City like your comment basically suggests. Also it's a fact the majority of the drugs were coming from OMC over the past 5 years! Don't believe me? Ask the Commish for the stats. You forget the FBI raided the place in a sting to take down the dangerous drug dealing armed robbery OMC Bloods Gang??? I'm not cool with gangs in the community sorry.

you compare kids drinking to drug dealing, murders, shooting and gang violence?? There is no justifing the youth drinking issue, but we are talking apples and oranges here..

Lol Tea Party Supporter is simply wrong. OMC drug scene is nothing but small level dealers pushing nickel and dime bags. However the RVC bar scene is filled with rich white kids demanding a higher quailty and larger quanity cocaine, that can simple not be found in OMC. So you have fiends in OMC buying 5 dollar's worth of cocaine that is of horrible quailty, and rich white kids buying 150 dollars worth of pure coke...and u believe the drugs come from OMC? Thats just cocaine. All the local marijuana growers in RVC are white, but im assuming you think marijuana just magically appears in ONC in mass quantites? I have a feeling you weren't in the position to make a comment on the subject in the first place.

theres maybe 5 people in OMC that make "thousands from drug selling"...the majority are petty dealers just barely getting by. its defaintly not ground zero for drug activity, and ground zero for gang activity is a stretch...they're are gangs in all surrounding towns that will come in either way.
