Tax Revolt Party backs Santino for Re-election

Senior Town Councilman wins unprecedented 4th political party endorsement for his continued commitment  to cutting taxes & excellent fiscal management

Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino received an unprecedented 4th political party endorsement for his re-election bid from the Tax Revolt Party due to his record of cutting taxes, controlling costs and managing the finances of America’s largest township with Supervisor Kate Murray.

“I’m thrilled to receive the Tax Revolt Party’s endorsement for re-election.  I sincerely appreciate the support and confidence placed in me by the citizens I am so honored to serve,” said Santino.

”I’m proud to work with Supervisor Kate Murray cutting total town taxes for the third consecutive year as well as having our Triple A bond rating from Wall Street reaffirmed – that’s the highest possible rating,” he added.

“Families and seniors in our town are still suffering from the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.  That’s why it is important that local government works overtime to cut costs, trim the fat, and make sure that taxpayers are getting the best possible services at the lowest possible cost.  Supervisor Kate Murray and I have made fighting higher property taxes our top priority over the years – and we’ve gotten results!

“It’s extremely humbling to have earned the support of the Tax Revolt Party in my race for re-election.  I really appreciate the hard work of all of my neighbors who took part in this grassroots effort.  The nearly 3,000 voters who signed the Tax Revolt Party petition on my behalf have given my campaign a significant boost.  I am overwhelmed that nearly twice the number of required signatures were collected on my behalf,” Councilman Santino said.

Councilman Santino already has been endorsed by the Republican, Conservative and Independence parties.

Councilman Santino is part of the town ticket led by Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray and Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad.  Town of Hempstead Councilmatic District 4 includes the communities of Barnum Island, Bay Park, East Rockaway, Harbor Isle, Hewlett, Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor, Hewlett Neck, Island Park, Lynbrook, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, South Hempstead, Woodsburgh and portions of Cedarhurst, Malverne, North Lynbrook, Woodmere and Valley Stream.
