If you are correct that neither Mayor Murray nor any future Mayor will be able to do much of anything about OMC because it is a problem being shoved down RVC's throat by NYS then why do you repeatedly rail against Mayor Murray? Just curious.
Frank March 22, 2012 at 10:34 PM
@ teddy. Maybe I want someone to prove me wrong. Provocation had its merits.
That RVC guy March 22, 2012 at 11:17 PM
COncerned...before you decided to move into Avalon Bay (soon to be the OMC section 8 anex with a pool)....Did you not notice the fume spewing bus terminal on one side? The projects on the other....the litter strewn field with incessant project foot traffic behind it at all hours? Perhaps, the fort like walls of Avalon, the nearby Bodega with the 24X7 miscreant presence on the corner...any of these stir a curiousity in you, before you signed the lease? Did you imagine what your visitors see as they approach Fort Avalon? I'm sure "oh....my....Gawd" is one thought they might have. SUrprised that thought.... eluded you when you first laid eyes upon the place. The fact that anyone signed up to live there is incredible to me, especially a 30 year resident of the town.

Exactly, Eamon. Thank you for all your hard work as a member of the rvcfd, btw.

Kevin O'Reilly March 26, 2012 at 03:21 PM
Excellent idea. Save on Gas
Frank March 26, 2012 at 03:46 PM
I feel bad for any cop having to field that station in OMC. Who wants to get shot at?
Kevin O'Reilly March 26, 2012 at 03:51 PM
Why hasn't there been a TownHall style meeting on the crime problem in RVC? The Mayor should be arranging this and bringing all relevant parties to address this serious problem. Taxpayers, FHA, HUD, NYS, Skelos, Nassau Co and Local Govt.
Frank March 26, 2012 at 04:09 PM
@ Kevin. you're absolutely right! No more closed door politics. We do need a Town hall meeting. We need to air this s**t out. What kills me is the patronizing comments like "Mayor's working on it, but can't disclose details". give me a break. Only thing they're working on is how to throw more "blood" money at OMC. This situation is so comical. It's like their reading Mayor "Diamond Joe" Quimby's playbook: Throw money at political problems. God, who doesn't love the Simpsons!
Frank March 29, 2012 at 08:58 PM
@ anthony bottan. So no more updates or comments? What was the point of this poll? You got how the town feels so where is the feedback?
Kevin O'Reilly March 29, 2012 at 11:55 PM
As he said he can't divulge what the Mayor has told him about the crime wave in the Village. Some journalism?
Frank March 30, 2012 at 02:51 PM
@ Kevin. More like "Yellow Journalism".
Anthony Bottan (Editor) March 30, 2012 at 03:04 PM
@Frank. I think it would be unethical to share information given to me off the record by the mayor.
Frank March 30, 2012 at 03:50 PM
@ Anthony bottan. What's unethical is that information is being withheld by a public official on a public housing project. There are laws that require the disclosure of such information.
Frank March 30, 2012 at 03:53 PM
@ Anthony Bottan. And "off the record" is little more than a speculative chatter on the issues at hand. Highly doubt any "off the record" conversations will ever make it to fruition. OMC is a public project and any attempt for "change" requires public disclosure.
Frank March 30, 2012 at 03:59 PM
@ Anthony Bottan. you never addressed the significance of the poll? To what end do we expect this "poll" to provide? A bunch of people are concerned about OMC. OK, they've been concerned for decades... What changes? Do we expect a social networking phenom like Patch to move RVC like "Kony". Holding my breath.
Kevin O'Reilly March 30, 2012 at 08:15 PM
RVC needs a "Deep Throat"
Frank March 30, 2012 at 09:19 PM
@ Kevin. Classic! love it.
frank sinatra May 26, 2012 at 06:17 PM
the funny thing is that most of you people are just racist
frank sinatra May 26, 2012 at 06:17 PM
you my dear homosapian ...are racist
frank sinatra May 26, 2012 at 06:19 PM
dump because afro americans live there frank? ...you're racist
frank sinatra May 26, 2012 at 06:20 PM
maybe the afro americans at omc do these things because we label them of doing those things
frank sinatra May 26, 2012 at 06:20 PM
so remember before any of you say anything ...ask your self ...am i being racist ?
Kevin O'Reilly May 30, 2012 at 03:53 AM
It would be racist to leave it lie as a result of race, wouldn't you agree?
Kevin O'Reilly May 30, 2012 at 03:53 AM
Well, what did you reply to yourself?
Frank May 30, 2012 at 02:01 PM
Kevin. Don't waste your words on this clown. He's obviously delusional. @ sinatra... the issues at OMC have nothing to do with race. It has to do with MONEY AND CRIME. It's not enough for some in OMC to receive subsides. Legitimate work only reduces those subsides... That is why crime pays. Money through illicit activity is never reported and supplements state and federal aid. this formula is not restricted by anyone race.... And are you suggesting that a person's race predisposes them to criminal activity because of societal pressures? I find your words more insulting than mine could ever be. I'm (blank) so I can't help it if I'm criminal.... I'm (blank) and i can't help it if I'm cheap... i'm (blank) and I can't help it if I'm a mobster.... I'm (blank) and I can't help it if I'm helpless... You're (blank) and you need to see a shrink.
Teddy B May 30, 2012 at 09:09 PM
@Frank, you probably would have wanted Ike to hold a press conference a week before D-Day to tell you just what he was doing about liberating France...hahaha. If you want access to sensitive information put down the cheetos, step back from the keyboard, grow a pair, and throw your hat in the ring.
Teddy B May 30, 2012 at 09:11 PM
....oh and what law/laws are you citing? I'd like to have a look at those.
