Paper Holiday Ornaments

Instruction and information for a do it yourself design that everyone can handle.

Since Christmas is near, decorating season is surely here. Hanging ornaments on the tree is a big part of the holiday season. Here is an easy and affordable way to create your own ornaments and add that crafty touch. You can also hang them around the house.

What you will need: decorative paper, scissors, pencil, stencils or paper punches and string.

First, choose the paper you want to use. It can be holiday themed or simply have a nice pattern. The best paper for this project is some type of cardstock or a thicker-weighted style.

Next, use either stencils or paper punchers to create a decorative shape. You will need three of the same shape. Then cut them out and fold in half. Make sure you fold in half the same way on all three shapes.

Glue sides together so they're all connected, leaving a small hole in the center. Take some string or thread and pull it through the middle. Tie a knot at the top leaving room to hang and tie another small knot on the bottom to secure it. If you want to weigh it down a bit, add a button or another small decorative object.

These will look really cute anywhere you put them. They are super easy, anyone can do it and the possibilities are endless. Have fun and get decorating!
