Community Update

I would never refer ‘Long Island Audiology Pc’ to anybody. I made an appointment with them only for hearing aid consultation. At the time of making the appointment, I was not informed at all that their consultation is not free. When I reached for my appointment, the audiologist, Ms Sharon Judlowitz got all the paperwork initially signed including for the payment of the hearing aids and even at that time also, I was not even cursorily mentioned for my info sake that I have to pay for their hearing aid consultation. As soon as the consultation started, the audiologist told me that I have to pay one hundred dollars for their consultation fee. As I don't have a job, I immediately expressed my inability to pay for their unexpected concealed surprise. She immediately wrapped up the meeting rudely without providing any consultation or service and now, I am amazed to get an invoice in the mail for their consultation fee.

I am completely astonished to learn of their hidden consultation fee as I called a couple of other audiology services in the same neighborhood and they are all free. Their consultation is basically nothing but the sales pitch for the hearing aid manufacture they work with and I can't believe that I have to pay for their salesmanship. Hearing aids is a big capital investment and can't be decided then and there without shopping around and personal deliberations within its due course of time period especially when it's being bought on financing options. I have never heard of a salesperson charging sales commission to the client.

I would advise everybody to be aware of these kind of purely commercial practices being run in the name of the noble profession of healthcare. No wonder, they don't have a parking space for their clients and their office was totally deserted without any clients. The audiologist was running the heist practice single-handedly by herself without any visible office help.
