What do you call it when Long Islanders dress in red and green jingle bells and try to set a world record for charity?
Elf Yourself Rockville Centre.
This Sunday at 2 p.m., Rockville Centre will host an Elf Yourself events to raise money for three Long Island charities while attempting to set a new Guinness World Record.
Anyone who wants to participate should dress as elf-y as possible, with pointy hats, red pants, red and green shirts, and even pointy ears. Every participant must be registered to be counted for the record.
Let them know you'll be there with bells on by registering in advance with Niall at Monaghan's at 516-318-5948. You can also register the day of the event at 2 p.m.
The event costs $10 per adult to attend. Additional donations to the cause will be appreciated. Children can attend for free but are encouraged to be sponsored.
The event, organized by The Official Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade, will donate money from each elf to The Angelman Syndrome Foundation, New Ground, and the Nassau County AOH Feis Committee.
