South Shore Symphony Orchestra Concert

The South Shore Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Music Director Scott Jackson Wiley, will be performing at Molloy College Madison Theatre in Rockville Centre on Saturday February 15th at 8 pm.  The program features the Bach-Stokowski Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G minor, Don Juan by Richard Strauss, and Mozart’s Concerto for Bassoon in B flat major, showcasing the orchestra’s own bassoonist, Florence Stadtlander.


 


Florence Stadtlander received a BS in Performance and MS in Education from Hofstra University.  She is the Principal bassoonist of the South Shore Symphony and has performed extensively in and around New York City and Long Island as a freelance musician for over 25 years, in chamber groups, pit orchestras and concert bands, including Plaza Theatrical Productions, Massapequa Philharmonic and  Gateway Playhouse, as well as many others.
