FREE PROSTATE CANCER SCREENING AT MERCY MEDICAL CENTER

Mercy Medical Center invites the community to a free screening for prostate cancer – the second leading cause of cancer death in American men – on Tuesday, September 24th from 5:00 p.m.  to 7:00 p.m.

Dr. Eric Thall, Mercy’s Director of Urology, along with associates from his Advanced Urology Centers of New York, will provide both Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) blood tests and digital rectal examinations in the Pre-Surgical Testing suite on the main floor of the hospital.

Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men, with the American Cancer Society estimating that nearly a quarter-million cases will be diagnosed in the United States this year, and that nearly 34,000 men will die of the disease.

Ample convenient free-parking will be available and there is no charge for the screening, but advance registration IS required.

To schedule a time, call 516-62MERCY no later than September 20th.
