Dr. Joel Benowitz, an attending surgeon at Mercy Medical Center who specializes in breast surgery, will provide an update on diagnosing breast cancer and treatment options. Prior to Hurricane Sandy, he had been the director of surgery at Long Beach Medical Center for over 13 years and their Physician in Charge of the Outpatient Surgical and Breast Clinic for over 20 years. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
Prior to the presentation, all are invited to the monthly Long Beach Breast Cancer and Breast Health Support Group meeting the same night at 6:00 pm in the Mercy Board Room.
