Living the Eucharist Lenten Program Signup

St Agnes Cathedral Parish invites all parishioners to join the Living the Eucharist program during the upcoming Lenten season.

For the six weeks beginning with Ash Wednesday and running through Palm Sunday, parishioners will participate in this program that was designed by the Paulist Fathers to help revitalize parish life and spirituality through a more profound experience of Sunday Mass. It will help the entire parish—adults, teens, and families—grow in their Catholic faith and live more fully as disciples of Jesus.

A wide range of activities makes it easy for parishioners to participate in the ways that mean most to them. Parishioners can take part in adult or teen faith-sharing groups, family activities, devotional and catechetical Lenten readings, and a prayer campaign.

Adult parishioners can benefit by meeting in small groups to deepen their understanding of the Mass, praying the upcoming Sunday Mass readings and renewing their commitment to live life more fully as disciples of Jesus throughout the week.

Teens will benefit by sharing faith, friendship, and prayer, and through their own exploration of the Mass through videos and small-group discussions.

Families will benefit by coming together once a week in their home to learn more about the Eucharist, connecting their household prayer with the upcoming Sunday Mass, and exploring ways to live the Eucharist as a family.

Parishioners unable to join a group can pick up a copy of the booklet, From Exodus to Easter: My Daily Journey Through Lent at St. Agnes Cathedral beginning February 9th.  This booklet incorporates the tradition of daily reflections during Lent with meditations on the Mass and Scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday. Reflections help readers understand the mystery of the Eucharist and prepare for Easter.

The program is open to all Catholics and the Parish especially invites those who have become inactive and may be seeking a way to renew their faith and more actively participate in the church.

Interested Catholics can visit the parish website, www.stagnescathedral.org and follow the links for more information.  Using the registration card found on the website or in the vestibule of the church, participants can select the way they would like to participate.  All cards must be submitted by Sunday, January 27th so the committee can put the groups together and order the necessary materials for all participants.
