The Rockville Centre Youth Council,
Inc., in partnership with Molloy College, the Institute for Safety and
Preparedness, Ltd., and with a grant from the State Farm Neighborhood
Assistance Program, invite you to a Community Forum to discuss a plan of action
for our disabled Village residents, should another disaster such as Super Storm
Sandy occur in our area. The Forum will begin with a discussion led by disabled
neighbors of the challenges they faced during the Storm.
This Forum will be the stepping stone to subsequent focus groups that will help
our partnership develop this plan of action, that we hope can be replicated
throughout the country. We welcome all members of the community and teens in
particular, as the grant is extremely interested in teen input on this project.
The regular monthly meeting of the RVC Youth Council, Inc. will meet after the
Forum at approximately 8:00 pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend one or
both meetings.
