RVC Farmers' Market Participating in Senior Produce Program

Farmers' market held every Sunday through Nov. 24.

The Rockville Centre Farmers' Market is taking part in a federally-funded program that is making farm fresh food options available to cash-strapped seniors.

Income-eligible seniors can receive a one-time coupon book worth $20 to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a local farmers’ market, Nassau County announced.

The coupons, courtesy of the state Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, will be available at no cost after July 15. Call the Nassau County Office for the Aging at 516-227-8919 for more information.

The RVC Farmers' Market is held every Sunday through Nov. 24 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunrise Highway at the intersection of Long Beach Road and railroad parking lot No. 12.
