  1. Report Names RVC Superintendent as Highest Paid in US: A report from Fox Business earlier in March said that Rockville Centre School District Superintendent Dr. William Johnson is "likely the highest paid school superintendent in the country."
  2. UPDATE: Report: RVC Man Issued Summonses for Laughing Too Loudly: A Rockville Centre man was issued two summonses back in February for laughing too loud in his own home, according to multiple reports. The New York Post has reported that 42-year-old Robert Schiavelli was given two tickets for "disturbing the peace" at 6 p.m. on Feb. 12 and 13 after a neighbor complained to police about his loud laughing.
  3. RVC School Improvement Bond Passes: After months of debate, Rockville Centre residents approved a $45.9 million school improvement bond on March 19. The measure passed by more than 600 votes, with the final tally coming in at 2,078 to 1,465.
  4. RVCPD Arrest Alleged OMC Heroin Dealer: Rockville Centre Police arrested an alleged heroin dealer at the Old Mill Court apartment complex in early March after learning that the defendant was selling approximately 1,000 bags of heroin per week to up to 30 different customers from Rockville Centre and Lakeview.
