Mercy Medical Receives Gold Seal of Approval From Joint Commission

Local hospital receives full three-year accreditation after four-day audit of patient care services.

Mercy Medical Center has received another full three-year accreditation and Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission — the nation's predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.

The accreditation was granted following a four-day on-site audit of patient-care services from Oct. 26-29, and demonstrates Mercy's compliance with The Joint Commission's state-of-the-art national standards for healthcare quality and safety for both its hospital and Behavioral Health Care services.

Mercy has continuously held full accreditation from The Joint Commission since the inception of such recognition more than 40 years ago.
