Business Q&A: Pink Ribbon Salon & Day Spa

After three years in business, the Pink Ribbon Salon & Day Spa on North Long Beach Road has reinvented the day spa experience for its customers. Here, owner Carine Gregory tells us about the unique experience customers will find at the all-natural spa.

How did the idea for the Pink Ribbon Spa come about?

I’ve worked in the medical field for more than 20 years, and I spent the last eight years in pediatrics. When I started this business, my main goal was to find products that did not have any harsh chemicals in them. That's why I decided to create our famous custom-blending bar. We researched companies that have unscented, all-natural bath and body products. When our customers come in, we let them choose what they want in their products. Customers are happy knowing the products they have created will not be irritating to their skin or unpleasant to their senses.

What makes the Pink Ribbon Spa unique?

We are a full-service salon that specializes in spa parties for adults and children. We offer specialty nail services, facials, massages and custom blending bars. Our custom blending service is really what makes us unique. Also, we are the only mother-and-daughter spa in existence. Moms are constantly booking their own parties while in the spa for their daughters’ parties. 

Do you offer any special promotions for your customers?

Yes, on select Saturday mornings we offer free petite manicures for children under 12 years old while their moms are getting our Shellac 14-day manicure. On the first Friday of every month, we run a special-of-the-month promotion. This fall we are launching our tween night, and Slumber Jams will be held on the second Friday of every month.

Tell us about your customer service.

We strive to create a unique and enjoyable experience for each of our customers. Our clients never feel rushed and we really pay attention to details. We are a natural nail salon and our clients like that. Because the spa does not use any chemicals, it always has a pleasant smell. We use natural products that are great for all skin types. We only use all natural ingredients, good enough to eat, yet still effective in creating a glow on their precious skin.  

What do you hope customers gain from their experience at the spa?

When our customers leave our spa, our hope is that they will have created a lasting memory whether they came for a party, a mother-and-daughter spa day, or a day out with their girlfriends. It is always humbling for me when our customers walk in and comment on how beautiful our spa is. We look forward to creating memories for you and your loved ones.
