The 12-year-old RVC establishment drums up business by offering a host of weekly specials. Price fixed menus and the occasional freebie make it a great destination for diners on a budget. The South Park Avenue retaurant doubles as a successful OTB location. Here, owner Kevin Culhane explains why his restaurant shouldn’t be passed up.

The most popular are the burgers. (Our) wings and steak sandwich (are also popular).
What kind of weekly specials do you offer?

We have happy hour every Monday through Friday from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. We have discounted drinks and we put food on the bar (during happy hour). On Monday night, we have wing night. It’s $4.95 per order (buffalo, barbecue or Thai Chili). On Tuesday nights, we do “burger mania.” On burger night, you get a complementary glass of house wine, soda or a pint of domestic tap beer with any burger on our menu.
Wednesday night is unlimited, marinated sliced steak night. It’s all the steak you can handle, with a choice of soup, salad, potato or vegetable. Wednesday night is also “Wine Down Wednesday.” Any bottle of wine on our menu is $20. That’s getting very popular.
Thursday night is our seafood fest and Ladies Night, which (features) discounted drinks for all ladies from 7 p.m. to close.

What do you like about operating in Rockville Centre?
The people are great to deal with. They are very loyal to the mom and pop shops and the small businesses within the village.
What do you post on your Facebook page?
We post our specials and any upcoming events. For the OTB, we post (things) about the Triple Crown. Around St. Paddy’s day, we put a lot about the St. Patrick’s Day parade and our specials and involvement in that.
