Rockettes Visit Young Dancers in RVC

Before they start rehearsals for the group's 85th year, two Rockettes recently visited Miss Colleen’s Elite Dancentre in Rockville Centre to teach a master dance class and partake in a Q&A with the aspiring dancers.

Miss Colleen’s Elite Dancentre won the opportunity through a contest on the Rockettes Facebook page in which fans nationwide voted for their favorite dance school!

In honor of the Rockettes 85th year of performing in New York, the students at Miss Colleen’s Elite Dancentre were recently treated to a look at the past, present and future of the iconic dance company with a vintage costume showcase featuring famed costume designs for the Rockettes.

The costumes embody their unparalleled style and classic glamour that has made the Rockettes a part of the fabric of New York City for the past 85 years.

Known for their rich history, unrivaled talent, strength, precision and athleticism, the Rockettes are a legendary New York dance company. The Rockettes innovative choreography and classic glamour has been beloved by millions of fans across the nation, as they have continually remained role models for generations of women.

Each of the Rockettes has achieved their lifelong dream of becoming a Rockette through hard work, determination, dedication and dreaming big and the group shared these inspirational attributes with the dancers of Miss Colleen’s Elite Dancentre!
