According to PTA High School President, she was aware of the decline in South Side's ranking weeks ago. Yet the district still has not come forward publically through this publication or the Herald to disclose that information to the public.

On Saturday June 22nd, the RVCFD host the 4th Battalion Parade. The parade will kick off at 6 PM. Fire departments from RVC, East Rockaway, Lakeview, Lynbrook and Malverne along with thier bands and Junior Fire Departments will compete for best appearing honors.

Old Victorian House to be Knocked Down

I can't believe that very old Victorian house on Davison Place was bought by a builder to be knocked down instead of restoring it back to its original beauty!! RVC's charm comes from these old houses. Where is the Historical Society??

Laura Gillen's Post-Election Update

Gillen garnered almost 113,000 votes countywide in her losing race against the two term incumbent.  That is 600 more votes than county executive candidate Tom Suozzi despite 12,000 fewer votes being cast in the Nassau Clerk’s contest.  Gillen also received almost 25,000 more votes than the 2009 challenger and she siphoned off thousands of GOP votes countywide winning Rockville Centre.
