St. Agnes Hosting Fundraiser for Katie McBride Foundation
Concert, dinner will take place Nov. 23 for the late Nassau resident.
The Monsignor Kelly Parish Center at St. Agnes Cathedral will be hosting a concert fundraiser on Nov. 23 to help establish a college and high school scholarship fund in honor of Katie McBride.
McBride, a former New Hyde Park resident, died at the age of 11 after a long, tough battle with cancer.

On her 11th birthday, she was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. By the time it was found the cancer had already spread throughout her body.
McBride received a number of treatments, but relapsed multiple times, eventually passing away on March 1, 2008.

The church is located at 29 Quealy Place in Rockville Centre. Doors for the fundraiser will open at 6 p.m., with the B Street Band taking the stage at 7 p.m.
The event is 18-and-over and 21-plus for bar service. Tickets are $35 each and include beer, wine and food.
