Skelos South Field to be Named in Honor of Peter Bralower

Dedication ceremony set to take place at RVCSC alumni game Saturday.

The south soccer field at the Dean Skelos Sports Complex will be renamed Saturday in honor of Rockville Centre Soccer Club's (RVCSC) Peter Bralower.

The request, made by the RVCSC, was approved by the village earlier this year.

Bralower was one of the RVCSC's original volunteers and was also president for 10 years, according to current president Patti O’Dea Leboff.

Leboff said Bralower is a big reason why Rockville Centre players continue to excel at such a high level today, as many of his "cutting edge programs" have helped shape local players and develop their skills.

Peter has given his heart to the RVCSC; countless volunteer hours, advice to players about college selections and playing on a collegiate level. He is well respected and highly regarded within our club and the soccer community on Long Island and beyond.

The ceremony will take place at the annual RVCSC alumni game. The women play at noon with the ceremony following at 1 p.m. The men's game will start after the ceremony.
