Sandy Fundraiser Set for Saturday at Kasey's

RVC Foundation has raised nearly $40,000 thus far for local hurricane victims.

The RVC Foundation, incorporated in the wake of Hurricane Sandy to assist storm victims in the Rockville Centre area, will hold a fundraiser on Feb. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kasey's Kitchen.

The new foundation was formed by village residents, many of whom are connected to the Rockville Centre Community Fund, whose charter limits its assistance to those who live or work in Rockville Centre.

"This is a way for us to help local families rebuild and refurnish their homes," said Mayor Fran Murray, who helped create the foundation.
