Photos of the Day: RVC Eagle Scout Awarded

The above photos are from Andrew DiGorgio's Eagle Scout Ceremony, which took place at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockville Centre on Jan. 4.

Joining DiGorgio was Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos, who presented the first Eagle Scout of 2013 with a proclamation from the county, along with Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino, Assemblyman Brian Curran and Rockville Centre Mayor Fran Murray.

"The hard work of young people like Andrew and all of the Scouts in attendance has made a difference for residents of our community," Santino said. "I applaud Andrew for his commitment not only to scouting but also to his family, academic excellence and volunteerism."
