PHOTOS: Mayor Murray Marches in St. Paddy's Parade

Mayor celebrates 17th Annual Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade.

Rockville Centre Village Mayor Francis Murray joined with honored guests and village residents in celebrating during the Village of Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade.

The 17th Annual Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade kicked off at noon on March 24, starting from Maple Avenue and Long Beach Road and proceeding to the reviewing stand in front of St. Agnes Cathedral.

"It's one of the most exciting days here in Rockville Centre. The downtown shops are booming, the streets are full of Rockville Centre pride and we are able to give back to three worthy causes," Murray said.

Murray also joined with honored guests at the St. Patrick's Parade Grand Marshal Reception.

The Reception was held at the Rockville Links Country Club in Rockville Centre. In keeping with the mission of the St. Patrick's Parade as "The Parade that Cares & Shares," all proceeds from the Reception were contributed to the funds distributed to the charities designated by the Parade Committee.

This year's charities were the Jillian E. Daly Foundation, ALS Association and Crosscare. 

"It was my great pleasure to attend the Grand Marshall Reception and join in honoring Grand Marshal Thomas Glynn," Murray said.
