Summer Fun at Community Church Nursery School

The Community Adventures program at Garden City Community Church Nursery School took place in July and the children have enjoyed many educational and fun activities. The summer program combines indoor and outdoor projects that include water play, music, stories, art and craft projects, getting a cool drink at the "hydration station," and "Watermelon Wednesdays."

Local young adult volunteers who are available during the summer have been a welcome addition to the regular teaching staff.

The program is organized by Community Church Nursery School director, Cathie McCullough.

"Community Adventures combines the best of nursery school with SUMMER!  [We have] Lots of outdoor play and activities on our beautiful playground, fun craft projects and lots of unstructured playtime with friends, old and new. Our teachers and the children love having the youth volunteers join us. They are so caring and helpful and they love playing with the children!!" McCullough said.
