South Side HS Homecoming Parade brings Community & Competition to Streets

South Side High School's Homecoming Parade brought out the community and good, old-fashioned competition to the streets of the village.

Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors each decorated a class float for the Cyclones' big game and to show school spirit.  The theme of Homecoming 2013 was "Superheroes."

Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino, Mayor Fran Murray and Assistant Schools Superintendent Noreen Leahy acted as the official judges of the competition.
