Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino joined the Village of Rockville Centre's Recreation Department for their annual KidsFest event at the village rec center this weekend.
Many different local organizations and businesses that engage our youth into participating in different civic, athletic and recreational groups were on hand, showcasing their accomplishments for the community.
Councilman Santino joined officers of the Rockville Centre Youth Council at their booth, where they spoke about and fundraised to support their programming that provides social alternatives for the village's youth to avoid drug, tobacco and alcohol abuse.
Santino also spent time with local business owners Joan H. MacNaughton and Sam Carrell, co-owners of Leggz Ltd. Dance Studio, and their costumed students who performed pieces they learned over the past few months.
