RVC Spartans Roll to 3rd Straight Victory!

With only 5 forwards and 3 defensemen the RVC Spartan's roll over the Massapequa Middle School Team 8-3 last night at the Iceworks Arena in Syosset.While missing their number one line completely for the game and 4 other player's.Player's from lines 2,3,and 4 were put together to make the best of what they had to work with.These player's all stepped up and continued the Spartan's way of aggresive hockey.Some player's double and triple shifting throught out the game didn't seem to lose their spark as they skated through the 3rd period.Not to mention the 3 defensive player's who rotated among them selves throught the game.It was awesome to watch these kids skate their hearts out and to see some other player's rise to the occasion.Like Chris Bochili and Kevin McNally,the both of them really skated their heart's out.

   The scoring began at 9:17 of the first period with Tony Marco's rush down ice,it was his first goal of the season.It was then followed up by Cameron Dunn's score at the 7:19.Leading 2-0 beginning the 2nd period Chris Martello scores at  11:06 to make it 3-0.The Massapequa team comes back with 2 goals to make the score 3-2, until Chris Martello scores his second of the game with 11 seconds left in the 2nd period making it 4-2.Begining the third period the scoring went like this,Chris Martello with his third goal(Hat Trick) at 13:59 and Kevin McNally his first goal of the season at 12:40 and Chris Martello's fourth goal at 11:41.The Massapequa team came back with 1 more goal and Spartans player Leo Straub ended it scoring at 4:50 with the final score Spartans 8,Massapequa 3 .Once again another fine performance by Spartan's goalie Brian Albertsen.
