The Rockville
Centre Education Foundation held its 24th
Fundraising Gala held at the Garden City Hotel this weekend.
The honorees for this year's event were Centre Stage and Thomas J. Wagner.
The Education Foundation creates initiatives and funds opportunities & innovative programs that enhance educational opportunities for Rockville Centre public school students.
Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino, Rockville Centre Mayor Fran Murray and Deputy Mayor Nancy Howard saluted the honorees at the gala dinner.
For Centre Stage, it's the students who collaborate with school staff and volunteers to put on a fabulous musical for the community who won top honors with the Ruth Fins Award. The club's mission is to create a
sense of community and belonging in which a unified,
cohesive group works towards a common goal.
Councilman Santino, Mayor Murray and Deputy Mayor Howard also honored Thomas Wagner; his advocacy & dedicated volunteerism towards sports programs in Rockville Centre made him a great choice as this year's guest of honor.
