146th Belmont Stakes Winning Jockey Joel Rosario Attends

With the excitement of a possible Triple Crown occurring at the 146th  Belmont Stakes in the air, Nassau OTB recently treated fans to an opportunity to Meet Belmont’s Top Jockeys at the Palace on Monday, June 2 at the Race Palace in Plainview, NY. Along with the meet and greet, Nassau OTB President Joseph Cairo presented a $4,000 donation to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF), a charity that provides financial assistance to former jockeys who have suffered catastrophic physical injuries on-track.

Among those in attendance was the 146th Belmont Stakes winning jockey Joel Rosario, rider of Tonalist and 2nd place jockey Javier Castellano, rider of Commissioner.  They joined multi-champion American thoroughbred horse racing jockey, Ramon Dominquez (retired) and fellow world-class thoroughbred jockeys Irad Ortiz Jr., John Velazquez, Manuel Franco, Jose Ortiz and Mike Luzzi to meet, take photos, and participate in a question and answer session with race enthusiasts. The celebrated jockeys spent the evening signing autographs for a large crowd of fans.
