Lions' Dinner in the Dark supported by Santino, Curran & Mayor Murray

Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino, Assemblyman Brian Curran and Rockville Centre Mayor Fran Murray took part in the Rockville Centre Lions Club "Dinner in the Dark," an annual fundraiser providing guests with an opportunity, in a controlled setting, to experience the challenges of participating in a simple dinner for those with visual impairment by blindfolding them while they eat.

This year marked the third Dinner in the Dark by the Rockville Centre Lions Club, a volunteer community organization, and honored Catherine Tully Muscente - Director of Development at Molloy College - and Michael A. Caffrey, one of the original founders of the Rockville Centre Youth Council. Each have served the Rockville Centre community in valuable ways, and were honored for their spirited leadership, dedication and support of numerous charitable and cultural endeavors, enriching our community, and helping our neighbors.

A portion of the proceeds of the Third Annual Dinner in the Dark will benefit the Molloy College Capital Campaign and the Rockville Centre Youth Council, as well as numerous other Rockville Centre Lions Club charities.  This year’s Dinner in the Dark Co-Chairs were Joan MacNaughton and Jeanne Mulry.
