The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island will host a Battle of the Bands from 6-10PM on Saturday, November 2nd at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall located at 3232 Railroad Avenue  in Wantagh.

The evening is sponsored by Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein PC. The featured bands include: The Haze, The Montauk Project and Citizens Beach. Tickets are $40 per person, a buffet dinner will be served and there will be a cash bar.

The event was spearheaded by BBBSLI board member Thomas R. Slome, the Chair of Meyer Suozzi’s Bankruptcy practice and Co-Chair of its Corporate Finance practice. “As part of our continuing efforts to give back to the communities that we serve Meyer, Suozzi, English and Klein, P.C. is proud to sponsor Battle of the Bands,” said Slome. “My Firm decided that we wanted to give our professional colleagues in law, accounting, finance and business an opportunity to take off their ties and have some fun, while raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause.”

“This event will raise awareness of our Agency’s mission,” said BBBSLI CEO Mark Cox. “Everyone is looking forward to having a fun evening at Mulcahy’s, listening to great music and raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island’s mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. BBBSLI provides a system of ongoing evaluation and support which is proven by independent studies to help families by improving the odds that “Littles” will perform better in school, avoid violence and illegal activities, and have stronger relationships with their parents and peers. BBBSLI matches children between the ages of 7 and 14; our volunteers are ages 18 and over.
