Bethany House Holds 17th Annual Golf Outing July 29th

Bethany House of Nassau County, New York, will be holding its 17th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Pine Hollow Country Club in East Norwich, NY. The day will include a full roster of activities:  delicious brunch, 18 holes of golf, lunch on the course, cocktail hour and sumptuous buffet dinner. .  Prices start at $150.00 for cocktails and dinner only, $400.00 for golf, brunch, cocktails and dinner.  Sponsorships are also available.

Bethany House is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless women and children here on Long Island. Their five residences provide safe, supportive emergency housing and a comprehensive range of additional programs and resources to support families and return them to self-sufficiency. Of those families who have remained at Bethany House for more than two weeks, 94%  have successfully found permanent housing and are on their way to becoming wonderful members of our society. Bethany‘s homes are located in Baldwin, Bellmore and Roosevelt, and every one of their residents has the opportunity to make a life we can all be proud of.

Live and silent auctions will certainly appeal to golfers as participants can vie for golf threesomes or foursomes to such coveted and famous golf courses as: Trump International, Liberty National Golf Course, Metedeconk National Golf Club, PGA National Resort & Spa, Westhampton Country Club, and the Medalist. A drawing to win a luxury vacation for two to Ireland’s Castles will also take place.

This year’s Outing honors Jerry Dikowitz, senior vice president at E. Gluck Corp located in Long Island City, NY, for his many years of support and personal generosity to Bethany House.  Dikowitz grew up in Roosevelt during the 1960s and enjoyed its small town atmosphere yet diverse personality.  Unfortunately the town deteriorated and Jerry has been looking to improve Roosevelt so future generations could benefit from the town’s possibilities. Bethany House won his heart. For Jerry, he just wants to help the people of Roosevelt and feels Bethany House is the best way to do that.
