2014 LI Good Deeds Teen Awards

Six South Side High School students were honored by The National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education on Long Island, NCFJE Chabad, at its 21st annual Good Deed Awards for Long Island Teenagers at Chabad Mineola on May 19th, 2014.

Teens chosen for this “Academy Award” of leadership were recognized for their outstanding acts of goodness and kindness to society as well as their pioneering activity in the transmission of value and identity. The awards were presented at a ceremony led by Rabbi Anchelle Perl with presenters including Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice, the Hon. Sandra Feuerstein, the Hon. Angela Iannacci, the Hon.Thomas Gulotta and many more. The award recipients from South Side High School were Rebecca Buchman, Sophia Grillo, Nicole King, Daisy Klaess, Elena Matarazzo and Grace Santarelli.
