How can the board justify over-ruling the concerns of 200 residents? WHats the point of a board inRead Morea small village if the concerns of 200 people dont trump a developers? WIthout making specific allegations, the appearance of impropriety is strong.

The Village board can act as strict or as flippant as they want depending on who they know and whoRead Moret hey don't know. They can call for studies on environmental review or act blind to the traffic impact on a project. I only hope that Larry Levy, former head of LI Newsday editorial Board ,who lives in front of 62 Rockaway at 99 South Park finds out. I believe he will have a lot to say about this new attempt to destroy the South side of RVC. The Village Board would never allow this crap to happen in North RVC. Not one of the Board lives in South RVC, so they never look out for us. Look how they allowed Echo Liquors after 10 years of closing to reopen with no traffic review and bring the ease of liquor buying to our children. I guess the fact that former North RVC village Trustee Peter Rubin representing the owners helped a little bit. I understand what you mean Mr. RVC guy, like you I fell uncomfortable to make allegations on the appearances of impropriety. Sometimes, the obvious is so hard not to make a judgement.

I forgot to mention the Village Board increased their revenue projection for parking fines. TheRead Moreprop osed kiosks will allow the Enforcement agents to electronically check the kiosks for all 16 cars parked per kiosk for time violations. More time for more tickets with more Enforcement agents not fewer. RVC the eating capital and one of the towns on Long Island with the highest income from parking fines

I do not know Mr. Branson but I do know Mr. Oppenheimer because he has twice come to my aide as anRead Moreu npaid EMT. Once a couple of years ago when on a Saturday he left his family to administer to my needs as I was rushed to the hospital. The second time this past February when I was struck by a car while walking on Greenway. Again, on a Sunday evening he left his family to rush to the scene of the accident. When I saw his face I knew I was in competent, professional hands. Ed is a dedicated Village resident. One who makes a difference. I do not know if Mr. Branson has ever volunteered or contributed in a positive way to make our town the special place it is. If he has I would congratulate him, if not perhaps he should think before he criticizes, in such a vitriolic manner, any person who has given so much to Rockville Centre.

Who is Peter Branson? What has he done in the last 5 years? What has the Majority party done? WhyRead Moredo es the Board only meet once a month now. Why not twice a month like before? Why pay them more when they are doing half the work? Peter Branson is a responsible adult?

I saw the Mayor on the recent state of the Village address. He sited several good accomplishments.Read MoreH e has said in the past "Promise given, Promises met". I know he's a real trier. I bet if you give him a call like he and all the Board say, they will take care of Maple Avenue and maybe fast track the renovations. Give him a try. Hopefully the Saint Patrick's day parade will return to it's proper place with people marching down Maple Avenue. "Erin Go Braugh"
