Joe, quick question...anyone actually paying rent or taxes, for that matter....in RVC housing? AndRead Moreh asnt this same person repeatedly voiced the same concerns to the point of "ad nauseum" while I'm writing property tax checks for 19000 dollars a year as the bullets fly and drugs flow at OMC? They are busy not snitchin while we are busy working. Its 2014. Enough with this dysfunctional nonsense.

Hi RVC guy, I know this lady gets up and speaks about OMC residents a lot. If she owns the house at Read Moreher stated address. I bet she pays a lot of taxes. Whether I agree or disagree with the speaker and if she pays taxes or not . I support her right to speak on any village issue. RVC Guy I don't know you. I have never met you. I would speak out for you, if you were being silenced by the Board. I'm a big fan of people speaking uninterrupted at village meetings during the privilege of the Board or Special comment period. John thank you for clarifying your interest in Bonefish. I have been out in front of the parkingRead Moreiss ues, over development, and contaminated properties since 2002. I saw these problems developing then. My out of touch reality has been with me whenever a BoneFish, Kasey's and GM Burgers application comes forward. I was at the variance meeting in March of 2013 to speak in opposition to the opening of Bonefish and GM Burgers . GM recieved the same benefit that Bonefish recieved. The BZA ignored the residents from Kennedy and Seaman Avenue who were there to protest the lack of parking . The BZA treated them with disrespect and malice. The BZA ignored them and waived the required 20 spots for GM and let them open without adding one new parking spot just like bonefish. The other fact is it is not the village attorney that created this immediate parking crisis. It is the Mayor and his instructions to the BZA chairman to ignore the residents and to waive zoning restrictions for the businesses. As we speak the Mayor has replaced the Planning Board with the BZA to waive the restrictions on AvalonBay to build the 177 apartments on North Centre avenue. When I have something to say it. I do not speak anonymously. I write in the Patch and Newsday and communicate with appropriate agency's on development at the NYSDEC, the NYSDOH, the RVC building department and the Nassau department of health. I go to Village meetings and speak out. I try not to be a victim resident. I rarely take a wait and see attitude because this Mayor is hell bent on destroying our village by pleasing businesses and ignoring residents. Ask the residents over on Maple Avenue what they think about living in squalor for two years because this Mayor is to busy taking care of businesses and not the people. Oh John, I wish people like you would step out of the shadows and speak directly and get involved instead of letting other people do the heavy lifting. I will never eat at the Bonefish and I wish the Mayor would enforce the code and close bonefish down until they become variance compliant, that's what I think.

Hey Mayor Murray the same lawyer that pulled the wool over your eye's in the Bonefish variance isRead Moreno w representing the BareBurger variance application on Sunrise Highway. He wants the BZA to wave their magic wand again and make the required 96 required parking spots disappear. He is asking for the same variance he asked for Bonefish. He wants the village to agree like bonefish to satellite valet parking two blocks away on Maple. If you believe this and grant BareBurger a parking variance again, I have a bridge to sell the Village..

In addition, meters have been installed in the parking lot between N. Village and Centre Aves.,Read MoreNort h of Randall, lot#20, which is a lot for people who have already purchased a parking permit (Residential/Employee/Overnight). Overnight parking permits have gone up $100 in the past 2 years (now being $237 a year, Residential permits are $235 and employees are $245.) So residents who live in the buildings, in which the municipal lots serve, have to pay $472 a year to park, in an unassigned, not guaranteed space. And now, we have to pay an additional meter fee between the hours of 4-6pm@25cents for 20 minutes. Isn't this considered double dipping? I am so disgusted by the current administration, I have personally written the mayor regarding the new 7-11 that is supposed to be built on Randall and N. Village, that will impede on the current traffic situation, crime situation, noise pollution, etc.. The Mayor called me personally to tell me he was going to "block" the motion to build. Sure enough, a few months later I see a notice of building and architectural meeting at village hall. Just another example of a fraudulent lying politician. He will not get my vote next election!!!

Stephanie, that is outrageous paying the 2.00$, 6 days a week for 313 days a week at a cost of 626$ Read Morea year in addition to the 472$ for a total of 1098$. That does not include the what 4 or 5 parking tickets a year for 2 minute expired meters for another 175$. Does the Mayor really care about you paying all this money to subsidize the free parking everyday after6 PM for all the patrons of the Business community, No he does not The businesses get fat and people like you pay for their meals. This is criminal. It just go to show you there are not enough parking spaces for the residents. In addition this Mayor waves the parking requirement for any new business coming into the village. Like the 10 free spots the BZA gave to GM burgers on N. Long Beach road. This has created a parking nightmare. The free riders are parking all the way up Kennedy and Seaman Avenue. The BZA knew this was going to happen but they waved the parking over the protest of the residents. Is it fair that the residents have to pay for the free 54 parking spots that the BZA gave to Bonefish at the expense of every resident that uses parking field 1. Go to my YouTube page j thr and see how there is no parking before the Bonefish opened. Now the Bonefish Patrons are avoiding the valet parking and pushing residents out on to the streets to find parking because the Bonefish is taking all the residents spots in Parking field 1 As you read above, the Bonefish is suing the Village after they agreed to open just for weekly diner after 4Pm. I was at the Variance hearing. The lawyer for the owner of the Bonefish building told the BZA and the BZA said in their variance that Bonefish could never open for lunch during the week. They both agreed. Again the BZA granted the variance over the protests of several residents and business. Well I guess the Bonefish heard all the businesses get access to free non existing parking so they want to open for lunch. Right now the Bonefish is allowing all the tenants of 330 and HSBC to park in the lot with no restrictions. In my opinion this is a violation. Don't worry the Mayor will do nothing to enforce the variance. There s a new Burger place looking for a free 96 parking spot variance behind Sunrise highway across from Nicks pizza. The residents have to tell the Mayor no More free parking for restaurants. Not one more restaurant in our village until the Mayor starts making the business pay for parking just like the residents. Tell him not to give away one more spot. I will never eat in a greedy uncaring, unfriendly restaurant that does not care one bit about the crisis they are contributing too. I hope everyone in the village does not eat in GM or Bonefish until they pay for new parking spots. Stephanie just like you and all the other residents that have to pay over 1100$ a year for parking. STOP the MADNESS make the businesses pay for parking..

The Mayor stated on September 9, 2013 that the Bonefish Restaurant was under construction and itRead Morewo uld open in our Village. How did he know the BZA would grant the Variance on May 7, 2014? It is my belief that the Mayor helped the BZA just like he helped the Planning Board on 31 Davidson Place. This is part of the SEPTEMBER 9, 2013 presentation given by the Mayor regarding BONEFISH: "Most notably is 340 Sunrise Highway, the site of the long closed RKO Theater. RVC has worked with the national restaurant chain of Bonefish Grill to come to our Village. The new restaurant is under construction and we have worked closely with the developers to design and build a beautiful facility with minimal impact on parking and traffic." In less than 2 weeks after the opening of Bonefish. I believe they are in violation of the PARKING VARIANCE. The Bonefish Restaurant was ordered to place a 2 by 2 foot metal Poster by the BZA saying:” RESTRICTED PARKING Bonefish grill patrons to use valet parking only”. The lawyer for 330/340 Sunrise Highway told the BZA in order to get the variance that the lot would be available from 4pm daily and all weekend because the tenants of 330 and HSBC would be closed. They would not require parking. The lot would be provided to Bonefish exclusively during those closed business hours. Now the tenants of 330 complained to the landlord and said they needed access to the parking lot for employees and HSBC needed access for the thousands of HSBC 24 hour ATM customers. Now everybody has access to the same parking lot at the same time. In my opinion the landlord is ignoring the parking variance. The landlord has placed an additional sign RIGHT next to the RESTRICT SIGN order by the BZA. It says "Parking lot is available to tenants of 330 Sunrise Highway and HSBC Customers" . I believe the BZA and the Mayor will do nothing to enforce the variance. Hey Reef, Panera Bread and all the other businesses that use Municipal Parking lot one get ready for Lunch at Bonefish.............................................................................................................................................

He was Majority Leader of Nassau County when it was put under the control iof the Nassau County Interim Finance Authority. Mr Blakemans election literature makes no mention of his "achievements" as Majority Leader of Nassau County as Tom Gulotta's trusted lieutenant in the legislature.

I read elsewhere that Blakeman has lived in Manhattan for circa 20 years and only recently rentedRead Morean apartment in Long Beach so that he can run for Congress as a "resident".
