Crime Watch: Stolen Car Ends up in Local Crash
Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.
The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Arrest:
On Feb. 1 at 12:13 p.m., Antonio Valle, 45, of West Hempstead, was arrested at Lakeview Avenue and Waterview Avenue in Lakeview for second-degree assault, third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer, reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated, failure to yield to a police vehicle, reckless driving, unlicensed operator, and failure to maintain lane following a police investigation that began at Lakeview Avenue and Hempstead Avenue in Rockville Centre.
On Feb. 5 at 10:47 p.m., Thomas R. McAteer, 32, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana following a police investigation on Thomas Road in Rockville Centre.
On Feb. 4 at 3:45 a.m., Ahmad R. Lamar, 23, of Freeport, was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident investigation by police personnel at Merrick Road and Lincoln Avenue in Rockville Centre.
Larceny:
On Feb. 4 at 3:05 a.m., police personnel attempted to stop a 2005 BMW motor vehicle that had been stolen from a N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre residence prior to the victim being aware of the loss; the recovered stolen motor vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Morris Avenue and Walnut Street in Rockville Centre and abandoned by unknown person(s).
Harassment:
On Feb. 2 at 2:55 p.m., a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that she has received harassing telephone calls from unknown person(s) on Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 causing annoyance and alarm.
On Feb. 5 at 2:10 p.m., a complainant from Essex Lane in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) have thrown eggs at her home on multiple occasions causing her annoyance and alarm.
